The Last Demonic Days. (7)

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [10] and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

And now we come to the culmination and final onslaught of demonic activity in the last days. It is as if all restraint is removed resulting in a tsunami of demonic evil and wickedness sweeping over the world.

Of course Almighty God has faithfully and repeatedly issued the warning

Revelation 12:9, 12 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

[12] Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

God's warning was rejected in Noah's day, as it was in Ahab's time with alarming consequences. The people critiqued Job instead of understanding how vulnerable they were themselves. Now when we come to understand, only in small measure, the terific onslaught of demonic activity against the LORD and His Christ, can we begin to understand the severity of the demonic activity on earth at the Saviour's second coming.

Oh yes we know that there are those amongst God's people that believe they are secretely raptured before the Great Tribulation begins and are thus removed from the earth before this demonic invasion begins.

We can but point out that Christ returns to defeat the antichrist and false prophet, thus ending the Great Tribulation. Scripture does not support a two stage return of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, we are respectful of those of like precious faith, that hold a dispensationist view.

The final wave of demonic activity commences in these last days, finding it's culmination in the days of antichrist.

Matthew 24:24-25, 29-31 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before.

[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Everything associated with the devil's christ (antichrist) is supported with demonic power and delusion.

The 'man of sin' is empowered by Satan,

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The whole earth will be filled with demonic and Satanic power during the Great Tribulation.

We pray that every blood washed believer will take these warnings seriously in this the day of God's grace.

Blessings in Christ. Rev Mervyn Cotton.
