The Book of Daniel [2]

Daniel 1:2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

As Jehoiakim gave God up in his life and reign, so there came the time that Almighty God gave him up to the destruction of his own ways.

Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Jehoiakim not only turned away fully and finally from God but he occasioned the destruction of God's House and the captivity of God's people. Daniel and his friends were victims of Jehoiakim's evil way, but they were not taken up in bitterness. Rather, these believers entered into captivity with their hearts prepared to serve God in the circumstances which surrounded them.

While the enemy triumphed over them, and while they were cast out of their land and out of their place of worship, yet, they were resolved to serve Almighty God.

And so today, there are God's Redeemed people, cast out of church fellowships as the enemy took control. Some believers are being marginalised for their obedience to the Precepts of God's Word. They are silenced when they object to sin being condoned in their churches.

There are multitudes, just like Daniel and his three friends, suffering persecution for righteousness sake. They suffer silently as they submit their way and circumstances to God. God's Redeemed people Surrender their all in order that God's Name be uplifted and glorified.

As Daniel with his three friends entered the land of Shinar as captives, they did not forget the God whom they served. Neither did The LORD whom they served, forget about them.
